This initiative supports Black women scholars at HBCUs in reclaiming time, space, and vision for their intellectual work. Through The Unwritten Work and the Vision & Legacy Residency, we create opportunities to return to unfinished manuscripts, restore focus, and cultivate visionary scholarship that strengthens both the academy and the broader community.
A quarterly program for Black women faculty and researchers at HBCUs to return to unfinished manuscripts, research, or creative work. The focus is on completing what has been paused, with support through structured time, accountability, and community.
The Vision & Legacy Residency is a summer institute for Black women faculty and researchers connected to HBCUs. It creates space to step back from daily demands, reflect, and pursue visionary scholarship rooted in culture, history, and purpose. The residency combines seminars, reflective practice, and collaborative dialogue to support deep intellectual work and cultural restoration.
Applications for The Unfinished Work and the Vision & Legacy Residency Will Open Soon.
